Buck giving us all the info we needed. Except how to beat Dave. Awesome job on the contest Buck, and a huge, huge, huge thanks.
Dennis (?) out for a early morning practice session. There were some good sized waves, and they got HUGE sat afternoon, but I was surfing then.

Mark manning the rescue kayak. It got a lot of use this weekend.
Sunday morning had nice waves, but the fog made it hard for everyone. Judges couldn't see, and competitors had to stay inside a bit so the judges could see them. That's me taking off on a wave.
There was some scary moments. We had a competitor get caught in by the cliffs. When the rescue boat went for him, it go clobbered too. That's me on the rock.
When the bigger waves hit the rock I'm standing on, it threatened to wash me off.
Here, we're trying to pull the paddler/swimmer to safety. Erik and Matt tried to grab his arms as Jeff and I tried to pull him in with the rope, but a wave caught him and pushed him further back against the rocks.
Here, Erik and dive to try and pull him up. Hard to tell, but we're on a ridge of rock, it's water just beyond us, with the swimmer getting pushed against a rock wall. We were able to grab him and lift him onto the rocks here. Thanks to everyone who helped. The swimmer was lucky to get out with brusies and scrapes and a broken boat.
Taking off in my big blue battleship IC boat.

You have to love a sport where competitors can do everything they can to beat each other in a heat, and then help carry a boat later. Jameson lends Lucye a hand.
Lucye, looking happy. She ended in third in her second contest ever.
Buck going for air.
Me on the smaller inside part of what started as my biggest wave of the heat, though far from my biggest of the weekend.
