The Story - Spring Paddling 2007

Getting ready for the hike into Giant Gap. It's a steep downhill.

This is the canyon we'd be paddling through. Remarkably wild and undistrubed, the put-in is just over an hour from my house.

Mike F. was testing this backpack system. Seemed to work, but stability seemed to be an issue.

Phil B., Desmond and Mike F. and I waited at teh put in for 2+ hours. Half our crew got lost! They showed up right around the time we were going to leave anyway.

Michael P. on Giant Gap. We were moving pretty quick in a big group, so I didn't get many pictures.

Kim and I paddled our Topo-Duo on Cache Creek (II+) one afternoon, with Masaaki and his young son Kenya.

A group of us did a low water run down Pauley Creek. The bigger rapids were still really fun, but the stuff between was a little rocky. Here John J. runs a fun little waterfall.

The light in the lush green canyon can be really cool.
